A Flying Interview with Babu

If you have been paddling in Nepal in the last 10 years you will have at least herd of Babu, and if your lucky you may have had the pleasure to paddle with him!

In recent years he has taken to the skies in quite a big way. Last year Babu became the first person to paraglide from the summit of Everest and it was a very fitting testament to his character that he went up 30m above the summit when he took off! Oh and this was his first ever summit and then he paddeled to the sea with Lakpa (an Everest pro) who couldn’t swim.

I caught up with Babu in the skies above his resort so what better time for a quick interview.

Even if you have been fortunate enough to see his film Hanuman Airlines

then you have still only herd about a fraction of the adventure. The story of Babu’s and Lakpa’s adventure is still a very much an untold story and perhaps a lot will stay that way but there is plenty more to come!
